Update 13th May 2020

Dear Friends,

I hope that you and your family have been keeping well during this time and we are looking forward to being able to welcome you back to Italdent in the near future, when it is safe for us to see you.

We wanted to let you know that we are working towards getting the practice ready to see patients again and wanted to let you know that there will, of course, be some changes to the way we will be treating patients. These changes will include additional safety measures being put in place, designed to keep both patients and staff safe. As soon as we have been given clear guidelines from the Government, we will update you with these changes.

Whilst we have been unable to open, we have been making some changes to the practice. We are in the process of building an additional surgery, so that we are able to meet the expected demand for appointments, once it is safe to start booking patient visits again. We have also been carrying out deep cleaning and disinfection throughout the practice, including a full re-decoration, to ensure that you will be as safe as possible whilst visiting. Patient safety is of paramount importance at Italdent and always has been, however, we are following the recommended guidelines available at present to ensure that we are going above and beyond to deliver the safest experience for you.

We will, of course, be in contact with you shortly to begin booking appointments. In the meantime, we are available on the phone or email, so if you are experiencing any dental issues, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to provide assistance to you at this time.

The whole team at Italdent look forward to seeing you soon.

Kind regards,

Fabio Bevilacqua

Director Italdent

Dear Patients,

We are taking a moment to contact you in order to inform you of the precautions we are taking to prevent any transmission of the Covid-19 virus within our practice.

As we are sure you are aware, there are now guidelines in place for us all regarding self-isolation.  If you have any symptoms of Coronavirus, i.e., fever, persistent cough or breathing difficulties, please do not attend the practice. However, if you have a dental emergency, please call us and we will try to help you to make suitable arrangements with our specialist team.

We are currently reviewing guidelines on an hourly basis and will notify any patients as soon as we can with any any changes that may affect appointments or treatments.

We would like to reassure all of our patients that ItalDent Dental Centre is aware of and follows all current government advice for healthcare professionals and primary dental healthcare settings. All staff are aware that they must self-isolate and remain away from the practice in the event that they experience any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has had symptoms of respiratory tract illness.

Clinical sterilisation and disinfection procedures will, of course, continue to be carried out to our usual high standard as routine practice. We have also increased disinfection of non-clinical areas including door handles, bathrooms and public areas in the practice. Further protocols will involve requesting that patients use hand sanitiser on entry and exit of the surgery - this will be provided to you at the practice. We ask that you refrain from bringing additional friends or family to the practice when not required at the appointment.

We will continue, as always, to request your up-to-date medical history at each visit and information on your current risk status before attending the practice. If you have travelled abroad in the last 14 days or been in close contact with someone with confirmed Coronavirus please check the government’s gov.uk website (links below) for the latest COVID-19 travel advice. You may need to call NHS 111 for further advice before making or attending your appointment.

We apologise if these procedures cause a small delay in your treatment, however, the safety of both our patients and staff will always be of paramount importance to us.  Please trust that we will endeavour to keep our patients updated and we are already working hard to ensure that all current, ongoing treatment is completed as soon as possible.  We thank you for your patience in this difficult time for everyone. Stay safe!

Warmest Regards,
